ABCD, that is the goal for me! “Aspire to Be Creative Daily”
I know, a bit ambitious… but I’ve been optimistic. Really? Daily? Do I really get to create something everyday? Well, so far, so good. It’s a positive motivation to get those creative juices pumping. 🙂 Whether it’s a tag, a card, a layout or sketch, I seem to have been getting it done… so a small hurrah and a wee pat on the back for me. Believe me, that is a feat in itself! It gets pretty busy around here, so I am enjoying this time while it lasts.
Yesterday, I made a vintage-inspired banner/pennant. I made one for our family so this one here spells out our last name.
I have had many inquiries if I can make these for party decorations. I have seen many pictures of parties that have these banners and to simply put it, they are great! They can easily be made to match the theme or color scheme of the party. Quite popular these days are banners in pink, black and white, brown and blues, jungle themes, ladybug themes and much more. The possibilities are endless! They make perfect decorations for bridal showers, baby showers, birthdays and almost any event!
Here are a few we made for samples here at the store. They are really just simple die-cut letters adhered to 6×6 cardstock for baby showers and birthdays.
The name decors would be perfect for house warming gifts, baby shower gift for the baby’s room decoration, or inspirational gifts with words like “DREAM”, “INSPIRE” or “HOPE”.
Here are a few more pics of the one I made yesterday!
Materials Used: My Mind’s Eye Wild Asparagus for the patterned paper, Bazzill for the plain cardstock, Cricut Cartridges: Birthday Bash and Home Decor, American Crafts Ribbon and Martha Stewart Pigment Ink Pad in brown.
Well, that’s it for now from me… till the next Work of Heart!
Oh, and don’t forget your A-B-C-D’s… “Aspire to Be Creative Daily”
Hugs,
